We Are Film was started by Dáire Carson after graduating from his film course into a pandemic world with no opportunities to make or showcase his work, and no help from his university. He aimed to create a space where students from Northern Ireland could come together to watch and celebrate each other's work. Dáire was the sole creator and director, creating all aspects of the festival including website and brand building, social media management, administration work, event and budget organisation and shortlisting and curating the films into a well-flowing showcase.

I know the majority of the time I had passion, the sun in the sky and a cheap DSLR, but that's all you need to create amazing work!”
